WELCOME
Dear parents, dear students,
It is a great pleasure to welcome you back to school and to wish you a wonderful start to the new school year. I hope you have had a lovely summer, and I wish all our students a happy, enriching and successful year ahead.
As you know, this new school year also marks a new chapter for our school. I am very happy to join you as the new Director, taking over from Mr Giancarlo Marcheggiano. We have been working closely together during this transition, with one essential aim: to ensure continuity and to build on everything that has already been achieved.
The European Schools have been part of my professional life for twenty years. As a Luxembourg national, I began my journey as a teacher of Literature and Latin before taking on other responsibilities within the European Schools system, including leading the Luxembourg delegation to the Board of Governors and contributing to the development of Accredited European Schools in Luxembourg.
These experiences have given me a deep attachment to the European Schools and, above all, to what lies at the heart of our mission: our students and their education.
Taking on the leadership of this school is not about starting again. Our school has its own history, experience and traditions, and so much has already been built here. The aim is to ensure continuity, build on these strong foundations and continue moving forward together.
And of course, this is a team effort. I am fortunate to be surrounded by a dedicated and experienced team of Deputy Directors and Assistant Deputy Directors, and I very much look forward to working together as one team.
Together, we will continue to build on the excellent work already being done at our school.
For me, the way forward is based on two simple things: trust and collaboration. A close and constructive relationship between families, students and the school, based on mutual trust, is essential to the well-being and success of our students
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our teachers and assistants for their dedication, their commitment and the important work they do every day for our students, as well as all members of staff who contribute to the life of our school.
And finally, to our students: I hope this new school year will bring you curiosity, friendship, new experiences, challenges, achievements and, above all, many happy moments.
To our parents, thank you for your trust and for your active participation in the life of our school community.
