PHOTOMATH - MATHEMATICAL PRHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION - EUROPEAN SCHOOL ALICANTE

ELIGIBILITY

The competition is open to all students currently enrolled in secondary education from S1 to S7 (Years 1 to 7) of the European School of Alicante. 

CATEGORIES

  • A: Students of courses S1, S2 and S3 students.
  • B: Students of courses S4, S5, S6 and S7 students.

DEADLINE

  • Submission period: Entries may be submitted starting today.
  • Deadline:  February 1st , 2027.
  • Quantity: A maximum of two photographs per student may be submitted.

PHOTO SPECIFICATIONS

  1. Format: Photographs must be presented in digital format.
  2. Identification: Each photograph must have a TITLE and be accompanied by a TEXT (maximum 10 lines) explaining its mathematical concept or significance.
  3. Quality: Photographs must have sufficient resolution to allow printig in A4 format. 
  4. Editing: Only minor adjustments to brightness, sharpness and colour as well as rotation, and flipping, are permitted. Photo montages and collages are strictly prohibited. Photos must not contain visible advertising (otherwise, it may be blurred or masked).
  5. Usage Rights: By entering the competition, students authorise the European School of Alicante to make responsible, non-commercial use of the presented photographs.
  6. Originality: Only original photographs taken by the students themselves will be accepted. Third-party work and AI-generated images are strictly forbidden.

PRIZES

Three prizes will be awarded per category. The jury reserves the right to declare any prize void if deemed necessary.

Winners will also receive a certificate of achievement.

The jury's decision will be final and will be announced during May 2027.
